masterful blends – from the wine virgin

Last Friday’s event was Masterful Blends, which included some interesting red and white blends. I have tasted a few blends in the past, but wasn’t really sure which wines have been blends and which ones have been just one grape. When I first started interning at Christopher’s Wine & Cheese, I didn’t taste many blends at all and was always curious to explore more. This past Friday gave me the opportunity.

What I noticed was that blends can have extremely different flavors, which definitely makes sense. Flavors can vary even with different flavors, but this event was a lot of fun since the tastes differed more. I hope to try more blends in the future, but until I do, check back later this week to see what 6 blended wines we tried!
