Naughty Racy red blend – from the wine virgin

Working at Christopher’s Wine & Cheese, I have always noticed the Naughty wines because of their funny labels with the ‘naughty’ baby. A lot of wines are sold based off the label but may not live up to the expectations of the consumer. However, Naughty’s Racy blend definitely did live up the label.

It is a blend of Cabernet, Zinfandel, and Cab Franc. The smell was absolutely delicious – a deep, dark chocolate berry. The taste was the same – very fruity and spicy. The finish was probably the most interesting of all – a green bean taste. Again, it is always interesting for me to see vegetable flavors in wines opposed to only fruits. This wine goes from sweet to a spicy finish, and it was balanced nicely, yet complex. A very good blend and wine on its own that I would definitely try if you like reds.

The next wine of the evening is also a bold red that was a favorite of the night, so check back tomorrow!
