sake wine tasting – from the wine virgin

I have been looking forward to the sake wine tasting for quite some time. I have never had sake – hot or chilled. The sakes that we sampled were all chilled and of high quality. I didn’t really know what to expect, but was delighted at the array of flavors that each wine had to offer.

We went from a sparkling sake, to ones that were similar to coconut milk, to a dessert sake that tasted like sweet plum juice. All in all, the evening was very interesting and full of a variety of flavors. It was quite different from the wine events we have had in the past, but still just as enjoyable.

Check back during the week to see some of the fun sakes we tried at last Friday’s event!
